UP State Wide Area Netwrok (UPSWAN)
UPSWAN is one of the major Projects to boost IT/Network infrastructure in the State to be implemented soon. It is one of the 27 Projects under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). UPSWAN will have the distinction of a state owned network providing all three services - Data, Video & Voice (IP based). The project is funded by DIT. NIC is the implementing agency for UPSWAN.
In addition to the National e-Governance projects, UPSWAN can also be used for education, telemedicine, training to Government officials etc. Some of the key application areas identified for UPSWAN are -

- Ultimately reaching more than ONE lakh Villages
Backbone Connectivity from Zonal to Core Districts, Core District to other Districts & Core District to State Centre). NIC – Up State Unit, Lucknow is the Zonal Centre and Gorakhpur and Meerut are the Core Districts.

Power Backup - 20 KVA UPS with 30 mins backup & Diesel Generator

Space - 500 Sq. ft
Power - 220 V AC with Ground to neutral of 0 Volts
Power Backup - 10 KVA UPS with 30 mins backup & Diesel Generator

Space - 200 Sq. ft
